Yes, I had my children early and I wouldn't change a thing. Was married to their dad, Billy Heaning until 1980; divorced and was a single mom for a few years until I met Al Thomas we were married in 1985, he passed away in 1995.
My career while I lived there, was in banking. I bought a lot and built a house in the cape in 1997, what a great experience that was.
When I vacationed in Ohio in 2000 for my 40th birthday, my sister threw me such a big family party that it made me homesick so I sold my house and moved back to my home town of Xenia, Ohio (tornado alley) on Labor Day in 2000 to be near my family again. Both my children moved here too a year after I was here. They said they missed their mom. Awesome kids they are....
When I moved to Florida in 1972 I just missed the huge tornado that hit Xenia April 3, 1973 (put the town on the map) that pretty much wiped out a quarter of the town but in 2000 and only being home again 17 days I was in the middle of a tornado! What a frightening experience and welcome home that was. I still get a bit anxious when a big storm comes thru. And I still haven't gotten used to the cold and snow.
I am in real estate, still single, live within a half an hour of all my family, both my parents are still well and kickin', as well as my sister, 2 brothers my 2 children and 2 beautiful granddaughters, ages 7 and 5 months.
